All aboard the Bentley Express.
Bentley Cambridge, part of the Vindis Group, is holding an exciting family event at the Whitwell and Reepham railway on Sunday April 19th, In order to raise funds for this amazing preservation venue. The beautiful Whitwell and Reepham railway station is set in the heart of Norfolk, close to the Georgian village of Reepham and has been lovingly restored to its former 1940’s glory, complete with working steam and diesel engines. The station itself is steeped in history and dates back to July 1882. Finding its way into the hands of a railway enthusiast the station is now complete with a fully restored signal tower.
Upon arrival at the station guests will be greeted by the steam staff, before they embark upon a short journey on the newly restored steam engine. It’s a real journey back in time.
Arriving at the next stop guests will be treated to lunch in the marquee, where Bentley Cambridge will be providing a jazz band and magician for entertainment. The children can visit the face painter, and there will be a number of traditional lawn games available throughout the day. For guests that would like to soak up some of the history of the railway the Model Club and Museum will be open to visit at their leisure.
Bentley Cambridge will be offering the option for a ‘Full Rail Experience’, where they can drive the engine themselves learn all about the engine with the driver. With the station already undergoing a large restoration project itself the event is being held in order to raise funds for the restoration of Annie, the sister train to Victory the existing station’s steam engine.
Bentley Cambridge will also be displaying the 2015 model range alongside some beautiful heritage Bentleys, where there will be chance to see the design evolution for yourself. Models include the Mulsanne Speed, Flying Spur V8, GTC V8 S, GT V8 S, GT Speed plus some exquisite preowned vehicles. The day will start at 11am and come to a close at 4pm.
