First Wedding Ceremony confirmed at Whitwell Station 22nd June

We are pleased to announce the first wedding ceremony  will take place at Whitwell Station on 22nd June 2013. The event will include fifty people for the ceremony in the Station building, followed by the wedding breakfast which will be held in the Sidings Marquee and a hot meal supplied by Eatwell Catering. Reepham Photographic Club now meeting at Whitwell Station

After a successful first meeting at the station on 21st February, it was agreed to meet on the third thursday of each month between 20:00 to 22:00 in The Sidings Marquee.  All are welcome and the bar will be open. The Next Meeting will be on 21st March.

New Ramp to Whitwell East (Cattle Platform)

Work has been continuing to make the old cattle platform (now renamed Whitwell East) more accessable to everyone including wheelchair users. The Model Club is now housed on Whitwell East.  We hope to run trains at weekends to this platform in the near future.

Annie’s Repair Fund gets close to breaking through £4000 barrier

As at 11th February 2013 the repair fund stands at £3915.42. Thank you to everyone who has contributed so far. We still need to get to a minimum of £15000, but we hope with the work we are doing ourselves we may see her running again by the end of July at our Steam Rally.

Mike Clark Donates a Ruston which is now back in Norfolk

Mike Clark kindly donated a working Ruston 0-4-0 diesel engine to us from Shillingstone in Dorset. The loco found its way to the North Norfolk Railway (being given to them as a gift by Ransomes).  It was then sold to the North Dorset Railway trust at Shillingstone station and in turn Mike Clark purchased it from them.
